Requiem – this short fiction is now available in the fabulous anthology All Hail the New Flesh – please see my Publications page – Ana has struggled against the ‘Bots’ for so long. She’s tired of the constant stealth strikes, fighting, death and destruction. Surely she’s lived too long now, when would it end? The appearance of an unexpected ally presents Ana with the opportunity to end it all.

To Dance a Dance of the Soul – this is a short story I started for my daughter. Alyssia is a Princess trapped in the refinements of society and the rules of her father. Her people suffer while her parents feast on their pain. There has to be something she could do. A spate of magical robberies and a chance encounter give her the answers she seeks.

The Tale of Rob Ably and The Lost Gerri-Faff – Little Princess Narky Nappy has lost her favourite toy Gerri-Faff the giraffe. The King and Queen order Rob Ably, the most able man in the kingdom, to go through the World and find it. Will he succeed? This is an attempt at a children’s story, pictures included, written for one of my best friends.

Four Hours – Tharlia is a scientist bent on succeeding where her misogynistic co-workers haven’t. What is the subject frozen in stasis in the adjoining room? If she found out she could move past being ‘the woman’ and seek out fame, riches and knowledge. Would she dare?

Flash Fiction

Saviour – a flash fiction based on a dream – Andanna discovers that a saviour can come in many forms. Surrounded by death and suffering, pitted against incredible enemies, her life and dreams are saved by… an elf.

Redemption – a flash fiction based on a dream – Allia ran from battle. She wasn’t proud of it. Her cowardice had taken her by surprise and overwhelmed her. Did she have a chance at redemption? She didn’t think so but with the appearance of a beautiful pure white stallion her World changed forever.

Cin – a response to a flash fiction challenge – an alternate view of the fairy tale Cinderella – Cin is tormented by her stepmother and step sisters; she wishes she could leave but she can’t. When she discovers the wicked plans of her stepmother she calls on her sorceress birthright, gets some unexpected help and rushes to save the one person that may actually see her for her true worth.

Gifted – a flash fiction story loosely related to the novel I am working on now – Aria is a powerful Seer that can see all that will befall both her and the ones she loves but can she fight against it when she knows that fate will always get it’s own way? The realm of Death will shake with her fury.

The Price of Freedom – a flash fiction story loosely related to the novel I am working on now – Lucian needs to escape the realm of Death and he needs to escape now. Could he leave everything he had ever known to escape his father? Could he leave the resting place of his mother Aria? Would he ever come to understand the fate which now awaited him in the mortal realm?

The Rose and The Heart – a flash fiction to join two of my fantasy likes – Rose is a half breed, not welcome with any of The People. She’s trying her hardest to live in the Human realm and just get along but a letter from the father she has never met turns her World upside down and brings too much light onto the secrets she’s been trying desperately to hide.

The Rose and the Heart Part Two – Rose has now been dragged into the realm of the Fae to confront the father she has never met and never really wanted to. What did he expect of her, an outcast and shunned by all? Little does she know a surprise awaits her that will likely change her life completely, whether she likes it or not.

A Life Worth Living – Alexiel is quite a celebrated bard and people come from far and wide to hear her tales but for the last few years she has struggled. She has been attacked both mentally and physically by some who she thought loved her. However, a chance meeting with a charming stranger gives her hope for life and her tales once more.

The Rose and the Heart Part Three – Rose is finally free. She has escaped her dominant father and outrun the so called alpha but what can she do when she’s cornered on the precipice of a cliff with it looking like down is her only route of escape?
